Our Anti-Discrimination Policy
At Wild Goose Players, we are committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all participants, including performers, crew, staff, volunteers, and audience members. Discrimination and harassment of any kind have no place in our community theater, and we uphold a zero-tolerance policy for any behavior that
undermines the dignity and well-being of others.
1. Non-Discrimination Policy
● WGP strictly prohibits discrimination based on race, ethnicity, color, national origin, age, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, disability, socioeconomic status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
● Every individual involved in our productions and programs shall have equal opportunity to participate, audition, work, and volunteer in a fair and respectful environment.
2. Anti-Harassment Policy
Harassment, whether verbal, physical, or visual, is not tolerated at WGP. This includes, but is not limited to:
● Unwelcome sexual advances, comments, or gestures
● Derogatory remarks, slurs, or jokes about a person’s identity
● Bullying, intimidation, or threats of any kind
● Unwanted physical contact or invasion of personal space
● Disruptive, hostile, or exclusionary behavior that impacts an individual’s participation
3. Reporting & Resolution
If any participant experiences or witnesses discrimination or harassment, they are encouraged to report the incident to a designated theater representative (e.g., General Manager). Reports will be handled with discretion, professionalism, and a commitment to confidentiality where possible.
● We pledge to promptly investigate all reports and take appropriate action, which may include mediation, education, or removal from participation in theater activities.
● Retaliation against any individual who reports discrimination or harassment is strictly prohibited.
4. Commitment to a Safe and Inclusive Space
Through education, open dialogue, and accountability, Wild Goose Players is dedicated to fostering a culture where everyone feels safe, valued, and empowered to express themselves freely. We expect all members of our theater community to uphold these standards, ensuring that our stage and spaces remain welcoming for all. By participating in WGP, all individuals agree to uphold this policy and contribute to a respectful and inclusive theatrical environment.
